Mist, layered — messages diaphanous.
I think about things in layers. And I keep referring to that. I think about something on one layer, and then another on another, and another — beneath that. I think that I like to design in that manner, as well.
I design in layers — one layer on another. Something seen on one level, another seen, on a different layer. Level on level

And I’m thinking about layers in the context of the word, and the word beneath. If we see, if we sense a prayer, what draws us into the other world? How are we carried to the spiritual space? And in being in so many powerfully spiritual spaces, I keep pondering this, wondering about that. What continuous thread keeps drawing the Bhutanese deeper into the entrancement of the spiritual in daily life and meaning?
I visualize that as a kind of filmy overlay — something that the mind is conscious of, and that the inner eye might perceive, but it’s just out of reach for many of us. But here, in the transparency of the wafting flag, the breeze born prayer, imagery is on the surface, and imagery is underneath.
There is always something beneath; it’s all ways there; it’s always possible. Merely looking, and finding, is the path of action.
Shooting from the hillside, the view to the opening temple visit — just after landing in Paro, this occurred to me:
Approaching this pass, Chela La, I saw flag through flag — that began that meditation.
