India. Delhi. Day one. 10.21.07
The one and most powerful opening character is surely the people. Spending the day with them, watching them, walking among them — mostly the profoundly impoverished, there is still a kind of savoring of what they are, what they have –what little they have, and living in that — that is still very beautiful. There’s a kind of serenity there — among many of them.
I’d heard of it, that spirit; but now I’ve seen it.
It’s a little after 2am, Monday morning. Will be packing it up to head out to the airport soon, for a 6am run to Paro, Bhutan.
I’ve got another grouping of images on patterning and the geometry of the spirit from yesterday. Then onwards.
More soon, from there.
