Light

LIGHT STREAM IN….TOUCHING LIGHT, WHERE YOU FIND IT.

STRETCHES OF LIGHT, THAT CAN BE TEXTURES IN PLACE.

When I travel, the idea of looking into the light, when I find it streaming, a streak across the floor — marbled, slatted, smooth, roughened or otherwise — it’s something to scout for.

I’m searching for that, the traces of where it might be found. That light might be the remnant, something that comes from the long stretch of the luminous, in the shadow, from one place to another.

Being in the vast vault of cathedral space, attached to a monastery, I knew that the sun would be right, entering that hall — streaming along that chancel, out to the nave, the long vault.

Patterning emerges, the streaked shadow-lines of presence. Traveling — shooting, I savor that experiment.

There are a string of experiments — Dawn and I — and she shot this one of me. Reaching down to touch that: lightstream. The ellipse of that where the shadow is not.
That sacred space, light crawls along — mapping the magic of that place, as shadow strides through, leaving its mark — then evanescence.
Dark comes.

I’m searching for the heart of the brand, the soul of the story, the unfolding of the legend of enterprise:
